Kampot is expected to see a boom in growth over the next few years and will soon be one of the hottest destinations in Asia. According to Tourism Cambodia, the city is expected to bring in in 1.9 million tourists and $13 million in international tourism receipts in 2019, with an additional 442,000 visitors arriving by 2022 thanks to the new Kampot Ferry Terminal.
