Cliffs of Moher
The Cliffs of Moher are the most visited natural attractions because of two reasons: the view from the top and the incredible height. Take a guided walk to the cliff and walk along the edge. The towering cliffs are 8 km long and 200 meters high! So obviously, this is not a activity for people that are afraid of heights. Stay the night in the cutest town of Doolin.
Ring of Beara
This is the most beautiful route of Kenmare to Glengarriff. It’s a 138 km tour that takes you to the abandoned and rough nature of the south. The nature is so beautiful here. And there is so much to see and experience. If there’s time left, you can take the route to Bere Island by ferry or to Dursey Island with a cable car (the only one in Ireland).
Killarney National Park
Not far from the Ring of Beara is Killarney National Park. This is actually the first of the six national parks of Ireland and also the most beautiful one. A 32 km drive through the park takes you to amazing views of oak forest, mountains, lake views and castle ruins.
Wicklow Mountains
Wicklow Mountains is also a national park. This rough and abandoned place is half an hour away from Dublin. The best way to explore the park is by car. With 20.000 hectares of mountain sceneries, you don’t want to go walk. Drive around and enjoy the view from your car. In Wicklow Mountains stands one of the oldest Christian ruins of Europe. It’s definitely worth to visit. It can be crowded because it’s one of the most popular places in the national park. The ruins are spread throughout the valley, but nearby the Visitor Center you can see the Monastic City. Here you can find The Gateway, The Round Tower, The Priest’s House, The Cathedral, St. Kevin’s Kitchen and St. Kieran’s Church.
